And here I told here how to check DBT in the last article which came here four days ago. But now what update is coming here from National Scholarship, I am going to tell.
Payments which are pending will be released here and by when will the merit list of those schemes whose merit list has not come will be seen here. So we will talk in complete detail, keep watching the video till the end. Okay? So look, first of all I will tell you that the money of the scheme was seen here on 1 May 2025. Which Schemes Have Received Payment?
The PM-USP (earlier CSS) is the scheme under which ₹12,000 has been credited to selected students as of 1 May 2025.
If you’re part of this scheme and your status was “Send to Bank” or “Approved”, you may have already received the amount or will receive it soon.
What About Pending Payments?
On 21st April 2025, NSP officially announced that payment services have resumed. Since then, students from various schemes with selected merit lists are receiving payments.
⏳ Pending Payment Status:
- Students whose merit list is confirmed and whose DBT is linked are now receiving payments.
- Pending payments will be cleared in batches.
- Keep checking your bank account and NSP portal status regularly.
Merit List Not Released Yet? Here’s What You Should Know
If your scheme’s merit list hasn’t been released, don’t panic!
🔔 Expected Merit List Timeline:
- May 2025: Most pending schemes’ merit lists are likely to be released.
- June–July 2025: Forms for the new academic session will begin.
✨ Only students whose names appear in the merit list are eligible for renewal next year.
Payment Failure? Here’s the Ministry’s Reply
Many students are worried about payment failures. If your NSP status shows “Payment Failed”, here’s the update based on an RTI reply dated 22 April 2025:
“The Ministry will verify failed payments within 15 days of intimation. Students have been informed via SMS to check their DBT link status and transaction limits.”
✅ What You Should Do:
- Ensure your bank account is DBT linked.
- Remove any transaction limit from your account.
- Wait for 15 days for re-verification. If your account details are correct, payment will be automatically re-initiated.
How to Check DBT Link Status?
Follow these steps:
- Visit the official UIDAI website.
- Go to “Check Aadhaar/Bank Linking Status”.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and OTP.
- Your bank linking status will be shown.
You can also visit your bank branch to confirm DBT status.
Final Advice for Students
- Keep checking your NSP portal status daily.
- Make sure your bank details are correct and DBT is active.
- If payment has failed, wait patiently — it may take up to 15 days for reinitiation.
- Don’t forget to apply for the next session once forms are out in June–July.
